Job summary

leading-edge, Riyadh-based client seeks an experienced Head of Commercial Property and Engineering underwriting to drive profitable growth, manage complex risks, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role requires strategic leadership over underwriting operations and a strong track record in insurance leadership.

You'll build and mentor a high-performance team, develop underwriting policies, foster broker and client relationships, and steer risk portfolio optimization in a dynamic regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, insurance, business administration, or related field.
• Professional certifications (ACII, FCII, Engineering Chartership) desirable.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in commercial property and engineering underwriting.
• Proven leadership experience in the insurance sector.
• Strong knowledge of commercial property and engineering risks, policy wordings, and reinsurance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for commercial property and engineering underwriting operations.
• Develop and implement underwriting policies and procedures.
• Lead and develop a team of underwriters and support staff.
• Foster relationships with brokers, clients, and reinsurers.
