Job summary

Saudi Gold Refinery in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, seeks a Plant & Heap Leach Superintendent to lead gold processing operations, maximize recovery, and ensure safety and environmental compliance in a demanding plant environment.

The role requires a Mining/ Chemical Engineering background, 10+ years in gold processing with 5+ in supervision, and experience with cyanidation, carbon adsorption, and SCADA/PLC systems. English proficiency and on-site, rotating shifts are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering is required.
Ten years of relevant experience in gold processing with five years in a supervisory capacity.
Expertise in heap leach operations including cyanidation and carbon adsorption circuits.
Strong understanding of process safety management and environmental compliance standards.
Proven ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams in a 24/7 operating environment.

Responsibilities

Process Optimization: monitor and adjust heap leach parameters to maximize gold extraction efficiency.
Safety Leadership: enforce safety protocols including permit-to-work systems and hazardous materials handling.
Team Management: manage shift rosters and conduct performance evaluations.
Maintenance Coordination: prioritize repairs with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
Production Reporting: prepare detailed daily production, reagent usage and incident reports.
Budget Control: manage reagent and consumables expenditures to meet targets.
Training Development: create and deliver operator training programs.
Emergency Response: lead response during plant upsets or incidents.
Continuous Improvement: implement changes to improve recovery rates and reduce costs.
