Job summary

Saudi Gold Refinery SGR in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is seeking a Processing Engineer to optimize hydrometallurgical refining circuits and maximize bullion recovery. The role requires leadership in troubleshooting, change management, and ensuring SASO and internal quality compliance.

The candidate should have a chemical/metallurgical background with 5+ years in precious metals refining and strong skills in mass balance, P&IDs, and English technical reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Metallurgical, or Materials Science.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in hydrometallurgy or precious metals refining.
• Proven expertise in Miller chlorination and Wohlwill electrolysis.
• Strong mass balance and metallurgical accounting knowledge.
• Familiarity with HSE regulations and chemical safety management.
• Experience with Fishbone or FMEA root cause analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and process flow diagrams.
• Proficiency in English for technical reporting.

Responsibilities

• Optimize refining processes and improve gold recovery and yield.
• Manage process parameters for Miller and Wohlwill circuits.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance per SASO and internal quality standards.
• Lead technical troubleshooting and change management for process modifications.
• Develop and update SOPs; support audits and compliance efforts.
• Train shift operators on updated procedures and safety practices.
• Monitor chemical consumption and efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with equipment teams to optimize operations.
