Job summary

BAE Systems is seeking a GIS Senior Project Coordinator in Saudi Arabia to lead and oversee complex aircraft development initiatives from initiation through closure.

The role requires a strong background in GIS, project management, and stakeholder engagement, with emphasis on regulatory compliance and risk mitigation. English fluency and MS Office proficiency are essential for effective collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Surveying Engineering, GIS, Geomatics, Systems Engineering or related field.
• PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage.
• Fluent in English with strong reading, writing and speaking skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

• Define project objectives, timelines, and resource plans aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, logistics, procurement, and air operations.

Responsibilities:

• 1. Manage the day-to-day execution of aircraft development project elements and sub-projects.
• 2. Develop and create Statements of Requirement (SoR) to define technical and operational needs.
• 3. Draft and maintain Statements of Work (SoW) outlining project scope, deliverables, and responsibilities.
• 4. Support project planning activities and ensure alignment with the Directorate's overall strategy and objectives.
• 5. Coordinate with stakeholders to validate requirements and ensure proper integration across all project phases.
• 6. Monitor progress, risks, and resource allocation to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
• 7. Participate in reviews, audits, and project reporting as part of the Air Systems Directorate's oversight process.
• 8. Lead and manage GIS, Navigation, Simulators Visual Data Base & Mission Planning, air Systems projects from initiation to closure, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.
• 9. Define project objectives, timelines, and resource plans aligned with operational and regulatory requirements.
• 10. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, logistics, procurement, and air operations.
• 11. Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure smooth execution.
• 12.Ensure compliance with airworthiness standards and military or civil aviation regulations (e.g., GACA, FAA, MIL-STD).
• 13. Track project performance metrics and prepare regular progress and risk reports.
• 14. Oversee contractors and suppliers to ensure timely, quality-compliant deliverables.
• 15. Maintain accurate and complete project documentation throughout the lifecycle.
• 16. Promote continuous improvement by applying lessons learned from past projects.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree of Surveying Engineering, Geographic Information System, Geomatics, Systems Engineering or a related field.
• Strong ability to assess and manage risks and opportunities related to RSAF Air Systems requirements.
• Proficient in project management tools and methodologies; PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Fluent in English, with strong skills in reading, writing, and speaking.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure and deliver results in high-paced environments.
• Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
• Strong initiative and problem-solving skills in technical and operational contexts.
