Job Title

Job Purpose

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The Senior GIS Applications Development Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining GIS applications to support geospatial data products. The purpose of this role is to ensure that alt GIS applications are optimized and user-friendly while meeting the applicable geospatial data standards and policies.

Job Accountabilities

• Develops and maintains GIS applications to support geospatial data and intelligence products
• Ensures that all GIS applications are optimized and user-friendly while meeting the applicable geospatial data standards and policies
• Collaborates with other geospatial specialists to integrate GIS applications into geospatial products
• Applies analytical and programming skills to develop optimal GIS applications
• Monitors GIS applications development processes to ensure quality and timeliness
• Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of GIS applications development platforms and tools
• Ability to work well unsupervised and will be able to plan and organise the team’s activities

Recruitment Specification
