Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts' Regent brand in Jeddah seeks a General Manager to lead the pre-opening and opening phases and drive the long-term success of Regent Jeddah, a flagship luxury project on the Red Sea.

You will shape vision, guest experience and commercial performance, building a high-performing team and partnering with owners and stakeholders to position Regent Jeddah as a premier luxury destination in Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East, with opening planned for late 2027.

Qualifications

• Proven GM experience in luxury or ultra-luxury hotels.

We're seeking a General Manager to join our team in Regent Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

This is a rare opportunity to lead the pre-opening, opening and long-term success of Regent Jeddah, one of the most anticipated luxury hotel developments in the Kingdom. Situated on the iconic Jeddah Waterfront along the Red Sea, the hotel is set to establish a new benchmark for luxury hospitality in Saudi Arabia.

As General Manager, you will be responsible for shaping the vision, culture, guest experience and commercial success of the hotel from its earliest stages through to opening and beyond. Working in close partnership with ownership, IHG's luxury leadership team and key stakeholders, you will bring this landmark project to life while positioning Regent Jeddah as a flagship destination within the region. This hotel is scheduled to open in late 2027.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the hotel's pre-opening, opening and ongoing operations.


• Develop and execute a strategic business plan that delivers sustainable commercial performance and owner returns.


• Build trusted relationships with owners, owner representatives and key stakeholders.


• Recruit, develop and inspire a high-performing leadership team and workforce.


• Establish Regent Jeddah's position as a leading luxury destination within Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East.


• Drive operational excellence and ensure delivery of exceptional guest experiences in line with Regent brand standards.


• Lead financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, revenue growth and profitability.


• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous improvement.


• Represent the hotel, Regent Hotels & Resorts and IHG Hotels & Resorts with industry, government and community stakeholders.


• Champion talent development and create an environment where colleagues can thrive and grow.
  

You will play a pivotal role in establishing Regent Jeddah as one of the leading luxury hotels in the Middle East, shaping the property's culture, guest experience, commercial success and long-term legacy from pre-opening through to full operation.

What We're Looking For

• Proven General Manager experience within internationally recognised luxury or ultra-luxury hotel brands.


• Significant pre-opening and hotel opening leadership experience.


• Strong commercial and financial acumen with a proven track record of delivering sustainable business performance and owner value.


• Experience working closely with owners, investors and owner representatives.


• Demonstrated success building, leading and developing high-performing teams.


• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.


• Deep understanding of luxury hospitality and evolving guest expectations.


• Experience operating within the Middle East region preferred.


• Fluent English essential; Arabic language skills advantageous but not required.
