Job summary

The General Ledger Accountant role at Alqotr in Riyadh focuses on managing and reviewing general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely month-end close. You will perform reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications, while supporting financial reporting and audits.

You will work with ERP systems, Excel, and accounting software to maintain the integrity of account balances and ensure entries are recorded in the correct period and cost centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial data reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and policies.
• Professional certifications (SOCPA, CPA, ACCA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and record journal entries with accuracy and supporting documentation.
• Reconcile general ledger balances across accounts, banks, and payroll.
• Prepare accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and reclassifications.
• Support monthly and annual closing and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with policies and audit-ready records.
