Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Info Sec or related field.
• 8-9 years in a security engineering role focusing on security principles and tech.
• Strong knowledge of legacy security systems and their integration with cloud environments.
• Proficient networking (TCP/IP, routing, switching) and security controls.
• Familiar with standards (NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory needs.

Responsibilities

• Assess vulnerabilities and risks across legacy systems while maintaining stability.
• Design and manage security controls for legacy environments (firewalls, IDS/IPS).
• Develop and maintain security policies and procedures for legacy systems.
• Monitor, respond to incidents, and perform containment and remediation.
• Collaborate with teams to securely integrate new tech with legacy systems.
• Provide guidance and training on legacy security best practices and basic GCP principles.
• Apply GCP knowledge to security projects, including integrating logs with Security Command Center.
