Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Hands-on experience with bag filters, bag house, and cleaning systems.
• Experience with metal scraper chain conveyors and belt/valve systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and perform basic breakdown analysis.

Responsabilités

• Lead maintenance and project work for the Fume Treatment Plant.
• Oversee lubrication, alignment, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Manage spares, tools and consumables for FTP maintenance.
• Plan work distribution to technicians and contractors; monitor quality.
• Attend breakdowns, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure safety practices, LOTO and PPE compliance on site.
• Support shutdown planning and execution for FTP maintenance.
• Maintain dust conveying systems and booster/ID fans.
• Keep maintenance records and update job logs.
• Attend to downtime promptly to minimize production loss.

Position Details:

Position: FTP Foreman - SMS
Department: Mechanical Division
Location: Saudi Arabia
Experience Required: 12+ Years
Qualification: ITI/Diploma Mechanical Engineering.

Job Purpose:

The incumbent will be responsible to lead the day-to-day maintenance and project work of the Fume Treatment Plant in SMS. The role ensures high availability of FTP equipment, safe working practices and timely closure of breakdowns and planned jobs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Carry out and supervise maintenance and project jobs of the Fume Treatment Plant.
2. Maintain bag house and replace filter bags as per schedule and condition.
3. Maintain the metallic scraper chain conveyor, including chain, sprockets, drive and tensioning.
4. Maintain the dust pneumatic conveying system, including pipelines, valves, rotary feeders and blowers.
5. Maintain booster fans and ID fans, including bearings, impeller, coupling and vibration checks.
6. Carry out lubrication as per schedule and maintain lubrication records.
7. Do alignment of motors, fans and drives using proper tools and methods.
8. Plan and distribute work to technicians and contract manpower, and monitor job quality.
9. Attend breakdowns quickly, find the root cause and carry out corrective action.
10. Follow preventive and predictive maintenance schedules and update job records.
11. Ensure safety practices, work permits, LOTO and PPE compliance at site.
12. Manage spares, tools and consumables required for FTP maintenance.
13. Support shutdown planning and execution for FTP.

Skills & Knowledge Required

• Hands-on knowledge of bag house, filter bags and cleaning systems
• Knowledge of metallic scraper chain conveyors
• Knowledge of dust pneumatic conveying systems
• Experience on booster fans and ID fans
• Good knowledge of lubrication practices and alignment methods
• Ability to read mechanical drawings
• Basic knowledge of breakdown analysis
• Ability to lead and guide a team on the shop floor
• Safety awareness in high-temperature and dusty areas
