Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Laboratory, Research and Development Manager to lead R&D activities and laboratory operations focused on fragrance formulations, new products, and improving existing lines, ensuring readiness, quality, and reliability of testing and trials.

You will oversee the lab team, ensure safe working conditions, approve analytical methods and certificates of analysis, develop formulations, and maintain compliance with IFRA, ISO standards, and export regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field.
• 7–10 years' R&D experience in fragrance or related industry.
• Experience managing laboratories and testing activities.
• Knowledge of IFRA, ISO, and export-market regulatory requirements.
• Experience with product formulation and manufacturing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the laboratory team, assign responsibilities, monitor objectives, and evaluate performance.
• Ensure a safe working environment for all staff in R&D and QC labs.
• Review, develop, and approve analytical test methods and certificates of analysis.
• Develop formulations and manufacturing procedures; train staff accordingly.
• Analyze stability data and determine shelf life; address formulation issues.
• Ensure compliance with Gulf/European standards, IFRA, and export regulations.
• Monitor regulatory updates from authorities and IFRA; adjust docs as needed.
• Maintain comprehensive technical files and regulatory documentation.
