Job summary

CAE Middle East invites applications for a Flight Simulator Engineer to support Riyadh Air's new training centre in Saudi Arabia. The role covers hands-on maintenance, diagnostics, and contribution to design activities as needed.

You will perform preventive maintenance on training devices, troubleshoot complex systems, and collaborate with logistics and training teams to ensure smooth delivery of training operations. Strong English and initiative are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Technical College Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Aviation field.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing schedules and shift patterns.
• Suitable understanding of aircraft terminology and simulation training devices.
• Ability to interpret schematics and technical documents relevant to simulation devices.
• Knowledge of analog and digital principles and theory.
• Troubleshooting skills for electronic, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Skilled in the use of test equipment and software diagnostic tools.
• Basic understanding of avionics, motion, and visual systems.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of computer mainframe/architecture, networking, and operating systems (Windows NT/XP, UNIX, Linux, AIX).

Responsibilities

• Assist during subjective flyouts and perform snag clearance.
• Independently carry out Preventive Maintenance Tasks (PMTs) and Daily Readiness (DR) on training devices and associated systems.
• Ensure PMTs are completed according to standards, signed off, and deficiencies closed promptly.
• Ensure all recurrent QTG runs are completed; action and follow up on deficiencies.
• Troubleshoot QTG-related issues and collaborate with QTG specialist and senior colleagues.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues on training devices and promptly update DRs.
• Support senior colleagues during AOG situations and coordinate with logistics, scheduling, and training teams.
• Monitor Simissues and action/update on-site items.
• Perform required tests and provide clear, concise feedback.
• Coordinate with senior colleagues to ensure Snags and SPRs are actioned.
• Use Maintenance Management System to record, track, and review activities.
• Comply with CAE EHS standards and safe-working procedures.

Join CAE Middle East as a Flight Simulator Engineer and help establish the technical operations supporting Riyadh Air's new training centre in Saudi Arabia.

In this hands-on role, you will perform complex but established technical activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance in the office, at the customer site, and in the field. You may also contribute to selected design activities.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Assist during subjective flyouts and perform snag clearance.
• Independently carry out Preventive Maintenance Tasks (PMTs) and Daily Readiness (DR) on training devices and associated systems.
• Ensure PMTs are completed according to standards, properly signed off, and that all generated deficiencies are followed up and closed in a timely manner.
• Ensure all recurrent QTG runs are completed; action and follow up on all deficiencies.
• Troubleshoot QTG-related issues and collaborate with the QTG specialist and senior colleagues as needed.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues on training devices and promptly update related DRs.
• Support senior colleagues during AOG situations and maintain strong communication with logistics, scheduling, and training teams to ensure smooth training delivery.
• Monitor Simissues and action/update items assigned to the on-site team.
• Perform required tests and provide clear, concise feedback.
