Job summary

Saudi Aramco (ASC) is seeking a Fire Protection Trainer Operator to join their Engineering & Training Services Division. This role focuses on delivering accredited training for the company's fire protection workforce in challenging environments. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Fire Science or a similar field and at least 10 years of fire-rescue experience, including development and delivery of training curricula.

Job description

We are seeking a Fire Protection Trainer Operator to join our Engineering & Training Services Division under the Fire Protection Organization. The division is responsible for providing 3rd‑party accredited training, development, and professional certification opportunities to the Saudi Aramco Fire Protection workforce from initial recruit to Chief Fire Officer. It operates a National Board for Fire Service Professional Qualifications and a International Fire Service Accreditation Congress accredited certification system, delivering training primarily through one of its three designated training centers. Your primary role is to lead programs from instructional design to field delivery and obtain 3rd‑party accreditation of the relevant test instrument in line with the latest published edition of the appropriate National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standard.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and demonstrate at a role‑model level of proficiency all skills required of trainees within the training course being delivered under adverse environmental conditions such as extreme heat, humidity, within Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health (IDLH) live‑fire and technical rescue environments.
  • Operate, inspect, maintain, test and service field training resources, systems and facilities assigned to the fire‑protective training centers and grounds.
  • Facilitate safe and effective training and assessments.
  • Perform training needs analyses and assessments on fire and rescue training and development programs.
  • Coach, mentor and develop instructional faculty that serve in roles below the incumbent’s level for purposes of workforce development, career progression and succession.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science, Emergency Management, Occupational Safety or a similar field from a recognized and approved program; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of frontline fire‑rescue response operations, including at least 5 years developing and delivering industrial fire and rescue accredited curricula; industrial operations experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated mastery‑level knowledge, skills and abilities in fire‑rescue operations.
  • Ability to meet the organization’s physical fitness requirements.
  • Minimum of ProBoard or IFSAC Accredited Certification as Fire‑Fighter‑I/II, Hazardous Materials Operations Level, Fire Service Instructor Level‑II and Fire Officer Level‑II. Preferred additional ProBoard or IFSAC certification in Haz‑Mat, Technical Rescue, ARFF.
  • Suitable technical aptitude in operations and maintenance of fire‐service equipment, systems and processes.
  • Ability to obtain 3rd‑party accreditation of relevant test instruments.
