Job summary

Confidential, a leading Transportation & Logistics organization in Saudi Arabia, seeks a seasoned Financial Director to steer the finance function across diversified operations.

The role requires 15+ years of progressive finance experience, CPA/CFA/SOCPA, and strong ERP and IFRS expertise to drive budgeting, reporting, treasury, and strategic cost optimization. Leadership and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
• CPA, CMA, CFA, or SOCPA certification required.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive finance experience; 5+ years in leadership.
• Experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet-heavy industries preferred.
• Strong ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Familiarity with fleet management systems integrated with ERP.
• Deep understanding of freight/logistics cost structures (fuel, drivers, maintenance, depreciation).
• Advanced financial modeling, Excel, and Power BI.
• Knowledge of IFRS and Saudi tax/Zakat regulations.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
• Prepare and present consolidated IFRS financial statements.
• Oversee cash flow, liquidity, and treasury across entities.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and regulators.
• Ensure compliance with Zakat, VAT, and local taxes.
• Lead internal controls and audits.
• Drive cost optimization and working capital efficiency.
• Analyze cost-per-kilometer/trip for operational decisions.
• Support pricing and contract profitability in freight/logistics.
• Monitor fuel prices and mitigate margin impact.
• Assist fleet expansion with lease-vs-buy analysis.
• Manage CAPEX planning and investment appraisal.
• Support M&A due diligence and structuring.
• Develop finance team and succession planning.
• Present performance KPIs to CFO/CEO and Board.

We are a leading company in the transportation and logistics sector, seeking a seasoned Financial Director with 15+ years of progressive finance experience — ideally within transport, logistics, or fleet-intensive industries — to lead our finance function and drive financial strategy across our diversified operations

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning process
• Prepare, review, and present consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS
• Oversee cash flow, liquidity, and treasury management across all entities
• Manage relationships with banks, financing institutions, and external auditors
• Ensure full compliance with Zakat, VAT, and local tax regulations
• Lead internal control frameworks and coordinate internal/external audits
• Drive cost optimization and working capital efficiency initiatives
• Analyze cost-per-kilometer / cost-per-trip metrics to support operational efficiency decisions
• Support pricing and contract profitability analysis for freight/logistics agreements
• Monitor fuel price fluctuations and their impact on operating margins, and recommend mitigation strategies
• Support fleet expansion decisions, including lease-vs-buy financial analysis
• Manage CAPEX planning and investment appraisal
• Support M&A activities, due diligence, and financial structuring (as applicable)
• Develop and mentor the finance team; build succession-ready talent
• Present financial performance and KPIs to the Group CFO/CEO and Board

Qualifications & Requirements:
