Job summary

Optimal is seeking an Instrumentation and Automation Control System Technician in Dhahran Compound, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This role involves installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of field instruments and automation control systems in industrial environments.

The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in a relevant field, a minimum of 2 years of experience, and familiarity with HSE standards. Key skills include proficiency in PLC and DCS systems, communication protocols, and fault-finding abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in instrumentation and/or control system maintenance in an industrial environment.
• Familiarity with hazardous area classifications and compliance with HSE standards.
• Valid safety certificates (First Aid, H2S, COSHH, or equivalent) are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot field instruments.
• Perform loop checking, wiring, cable termination, and signal testing.
• Execute panel wiring, I/O verification, and logic checks.
