Job summary

ASMO in Saudi Arabia is seeking a senior Facilities & Maintenance Manager to oversee site operations, ensuring safe and reliable building infrastructure, equipment, and utilities. You will lead a team of technicians and an admin controller, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet maintenance and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include developing preventive maintenance programs, managing vendors, budgeting, and driving continuous improvement across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required or equivalent work experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering is preferred.
• Certifications in facility/maintenance management are preferred.

Job description

Objective:

The role holder is responsible to play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the ASMO site by overseeing facility maintenance and administrative functions. The role holder manages a team of Facility & Maintenance Technicians and a Facility Admin Controller, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

General Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development and execution of the Department short to mid-term strategic plan to ensure alignment with the Department’s strategic priorities, and the corporate goals.


• Contribute to the development of annual business plans for the assigned areas of responsibility to support the achievement of financial and strategic objectives.


• Monitor, control and report key performance indicators related to the Department to track performance and recommend corrective actions.


• Oversee all aspects of facility maintenance, including building infrastructure, equipment, and utilities, to ensure safe and reliable operation.


• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs to maximize facility uptime and minimize disruptions.


• Collaborate with Facility & Maintenance Technicians to schedule and perform routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks.


• Manage external vendors and contractors for specialized facility maintenance services when necessary.


• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards for the facility.


• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of Facility & Maintenance Technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.


• Schedule and assign tasks, manage work orders, and oversee work progress to meet operational needs.


• Conduct performance evaluations, offer training opportunities, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the maintenance team.


• Collaborate with the Facility Admin Controller to manage administrative functions related to facility operations, including budgeting, procurement, and record-keeping.


• Oversee inventory management for maintenance supplies and equipment, optimizing resource utilization and controlling costs.


• Ensure the timely and accurate documentation of maintenance activities and expenditures.


• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and quality control, to ensure seamless facility operations.


• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives within the facility.


• Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to facility maintenance and administrative functions to the Site Director.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, from a recognized and accredited university or relevant work experience is required.


• Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is preferred.


• Certifications in facility management or maintenance management (i.e., CFM, CMRP) is preferred.


• Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written English.


• 9 years’ experience in similar or related field, out of which 3 years at a managerial / leading position.


• Proven experience in facility maintenance and management.
