Job summary

Allegis Group is seeking an experienced EV Powertrain Engineer to join a global engineering consultancy launching an electric powertrain manufacturing facility in the Middle East, north of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This contract role supports a major automotive client in scaling up production of advanced electric drive systems.

You will lead the complete lifecycle of a new production line—from equipment installation and commissioning through process qualification, run-at-rate, Start of Production,

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (MSc or equivalent) in mechanical, electrical, mechatronic, manufacturing, materials or industrial engineering.
• 5 to 10 years minimum for process engineering in high-volume manufacturing — automotive powertrain or components, electric motors, electronics, or comparable takt-driven assembly.
• EV Powertrain experience is a non negotiable.
• Clear written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete lifecycle of a new production line—from installation to ramp-up.
• Support PPAP and Start of Production activities for the new facility.

Job description

A global engineering and project delivery consultancy that partners with some of the world's leading automotive, battery, manufacturing, and technology organisations are looking for an experienced EV Powertrain Engineer to play a key role in the launch of a brand-new electric powertrain manufacturing facility in the Middle East. You'll be joining the company to support a major automotive client as they scale up production of cutting-edge electric drive systems, including e-motors, inverters, and integrated e-drive assemblies.

This isn't a maintenance or BAU manufacturing role. You’ll be involved in the complete lifecycle of a new production line, from equipment installation and commissioning through process qualification, run-at-rate, PPAP, Start of Production, and ramp-up to full-scale manufacturing.

The site is north of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It will be a contract role until the end of 2027 (view to extend). Work visa support by the company.

Experience
