Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to develop, commission, and sustain PLC-based automation across EV drivetrain and battery assembly lines in Saudi Arabia. You will own FAT/SAT, safety functions, and handover of code, documentation, and training records to local engineers.

You will implement HMI/SCADA screens, integrate PLCs with MES, and ensure robust OT cybersecurity and diagnostics. English proficiency is essential; Arabic is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, Automation, Mechatronics or closely related discipline.
• 3-5 years of hands-on PLC-based discrete automation experience.
• Automotive EV, battery, or powertrain exposure preferred.
• Fluent professional English; Arabic language strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and sustain PLC programs, blocks, data structures, and interfaces for DU and HV Battery equipment.
• Design and implement HMI/SCADA screens, alarms, diagnostics, and historian tags to improve troubleshooting.
• Integrate PLCs with MES/APM/LMIS; validate machine states, counts, rejects, quality results, and traceability end-to-end.
• Configure and troubleshoot OT networks, cybersecurity controls, and data interfaces.
• Support production launch, FAT/SAT, and handover of as-built code and manuals.
• Provide structured OJT and capability transfer to Saudi engineers and technicians.
