Job summary

Egis Group in Riyadh seeks an experienced Senior Environmental Engineer to analyze environmental aspects of infrastructure projects and support permit documentation.

You will identify potential impacts, propose mitigation measures, coordinate with design teams and authorities, and monitor compliance with permits and approvals.

The role requires a technical degree, 10+ years of experience, fluency in English, and strong communication and analytical skills; AutoCAD/Civil 3D knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar position.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes environmental aspects associated with infrastructure projects under development.
• Participates in the preparation of documentation required for obtaining environmental permits, approvals and authorizations.
• Prepares or contributes to the development of: project presentation reports, technical documentation for environmental permitting procedures, specialized environmental studies, environmental sections of technical design documentation.
• Identifies potential environmental impacts and proposes prevention, mitigation or compensation measures.
• Participates in the assessment of technical solutions from an environmental protection perspective.
• Provides technical support to design teams regarding applicable environmental requirements.
• Participates in site visits and field surveys to collect information required for the preparation of environmental documentation.
• Cooperates with environmental experts, consultants and competent authorities.
• Monitors compliance with the conditions established by permits, approvals and other regulatory documents issued by competent authorities.
• Prepares documentation for submission to relevant authorities.
• Participates in meetings and technical sessions with clients and permitting authorities.
• Responds to requests for clarifications and additional information issued by authorities.
• Follows up on the status of environmental permits and approvals.
• Monitors legislative changes in the field of environmental protection.
• Informs management and project teams about applicable legal requirements and obligations.
• Proposes compliance measures and internal process improvements.
• Prepares technical reports and activity updates related to assigned projects.
• Ensures the proper recording, filing and archiving of environmental documentation.
• Provides information, data and technical input required by management and clients.
