Job summary

Egis Group is seeking a Senior Architectural Inspector in Riyadh to lead day-to-day site inspections for architectural finishes, building envelopes, and interior fit-outs across multi-building facilities. The role ensures compliance with approved drawings, MARs, and project specifications while collaborating with the site engineering, QA/QC, and HSE teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• 10+ years of direct site inspection experience in architectural finishes, interior fit-outs, building envelopes, and multi-building complexes.
• Aviation project experience is preferred.
• Prior site experience on aviation buildings, high-spec commercial buildings, or large-scale multi-facility complexes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections for ongoing architectural works, internal and external.
• Verify that architectural materials match MARs, sample boards, and project specs.
• Inspect work against approved mock-ups, shop drawings, and finish schedules to ensure quality.
• Log non-conformances, issue snag lists, and re-inspect NCRs and punch lists.
• Coordinate with technical team on submittals, material samples, shop drawings, and RFIs.
• Ensure builder's works, MEP penetrations, and access panels are integrated into surfaces without compromising aesthetics or function.
• Coordinate on-site with civil, structural, and MEP inspectors to ensure proper sequencing.
• Ensure compliance with accessibility, fire-rated assemblies, and room function specifications.
• Monitor contractor daily progress and fit-out activities and maintain logs.
• Assist in preparing data for weekly/monthly progress reports on architectural milestones.
• Collaborate with HSE during walks to ensure safe finishing trades and proper scaffolding and storage safety.

About the Role

The Architectural Inspector is responsible for conducting day-to-day site inspections and quality control for all architectural, finishing, and building envelope works across the project facilities. This role ensures that interior/exterior architectural executions, finishing materials, fixtures, and spatial layouts strictly comply with approved design drawings, mock-ups, project specifications, and quality standards.

This role works closely with the site engineering team and technical team, contractor teams, and project QA/QC and HSE personnel to maintain high standards of architectural workmanship and material compliance on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily routine site inspections for ongoing architectural works, internal and external.
• Verify that all architectural materials delivered to the site match approved Material Approval Requests (MARs), sample boards, and project specifications.
• Inspect work against approved mock-ups, shop drawings, and finish schedules to ensure high standards of craftsmanship and finish quality.
• Log architectural non-conformances, issue internal snag lists, and perform re-inspections to ensure closed-out Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and punch-list items are properly rectified.
• Review and coordinate with the technical team for contractor technical submittals, material samples, shop drawings, and Requests for Inspection (RFIs) related to architectural packages.
• Verify that builder's works, MEP penetrations, and access panels are neatly integrated into architectural surfaces without compromising aesthetics or functional integrity.
• Coordinate on-site with civil, structural, and MEP inspectors to ensure proper sequencing of architectural works.
• Ensure architectural details comply with accessibility standards, fire-rated assembly requirements, and room function specifications across all facilities (administrative, security, and operational spaces).
• Monitor contractor daily progress and architectural activities and fit-out trades.
• Maintain accurate daily inspection logs and inspection request (WIR/IR) records.
• Assist the Senior Site Supervision Engineer in preparing data for weekly and monthly progress reports regarding architectural milestones.
• Collaborate with the HSE Team during site walks to ensure safe working environments for finishing trades, particularly regarding scaffolding setups, elevated work platforms, dust control, and paint/chemical storage safety.

What do we need from you

• Bachelor's Degree, Architectural Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 10+ years of direct site inspection experience in architectural finishes, interior fit-outs, building envelopes, and multi-building complex construction.
• Aviation Experience is preferred
• Prior site experience on aviation building projects, high-spec commercial buildings, or large-scale multi-facility complexes is preferred.
• Deep practical knowledge of architectural construction activities and installation methods.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed architectural shop drawings, finish schedules, and material specs.
• Familiarity with local building codes, international architectural quality standards, and fire-rated assembly requirements.
• Proficiency in document control platforms (Aconex), CAD software (AutoCAD), and MS Office.
• Strong eye for detail, quality control mindset
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
