Job summary

DAR Engineering, a leading design & engineering consulting organization in Saudi Arabia, seeks an experienced cost controller to oversee project costs, ensuring budgets and financial guidelines are respected.

Responsibilities include creating tender budgets in SAP, preparing detailed estimates to complete, and coordinating with finance for cost revisions and forecasting. The role emphasizes cost-saving strategies and dashboard reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Create project cost structures/breakdowns (tender budget) on SAP to ensure the implementation of cost control procedures.
• Analyze project requirements and prepare the detailed estimate to complete.
• Reconciliate/analyze project budget revisions closely with the finance department, increasingly in a consultancy role for verification of estimates (actual cost, plan POC, actual POC, etc.).

• Monitor & track project costs to ensure they align with the budget.
• Identify and report potential cost overruns in a timely manner and use forecasting tools to anticipate future expenditures.
• Develop and implement cost-saving strategies to maximize project profitability.
• Create & maintain updated detailed project cashflows and forecast reports based on trend analysis throughout the project lifecycle.
• Analyze project cost reports & establish reporting frequency on project-to-project stakeholders based on the criticality of deliverables on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.

Job Purpose

Oversee and manage costs associated with projects to ensure they stay within the allocated budget and financial guidelines
