Job summary

Egis Group seeks a Senior Cost Control Engineer for a major Riyadh project in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on cost management, design review, and budget control for large-scale infrastructure and construction ventures.

You will develop budgets, perform cost analyses, forecast expenditures, and guide cross-functional teams to stay within financial targets while ensuring adherence to local regulations and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveyor.
• 10-15 years in cost engineering and cost reporting, preferably in large-scale infrastructure or major construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of cost engineering principles, PMO practices, and budget management.
• Has led cost control teams and managed the cost function at a departmental level.
• Can support recruitment efforts in identifying, interviewing and deploying cost control staff.
• Proficiency in Primavera systems and Excel; excellent financial modeling, risk assessment and contract management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project budgets and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Conduct detailed cost analyses and provide regular cost performance reports to stakeholders.
• Provide cost performance analysis, interpretation and forecasting against budgets.
• Maintain the Program and Project Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) with version control.
• Support risk assessments and mitigation strategies to minimize financial impacts.
• Create and update financial models to forecast project costs and cash flows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet budget constraints.
• Implement and maintain cost control systems to track expenses and variances.
• Advise project managers and leadership on cost-related matters.

We are seeking a Senior Cost Control engineer to join one of our major project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role will focus on overseeing cost control activities, ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial performance.In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing cost management, design review, and budget control for large-scale infrastructure and construction projects.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project budgets, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals
• Conduct detailed cost analyses and provide regular cost performance reports to stakeholders
• Provide cost performance analysis, interpretation and forecasting of cost performance against budgets
• Maintains the Program and Project Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS). Manage changes made to the structure of the CBS with version control.
• Support risk assessments and assist in development of mitigation strategies to minimize financial impacts
• Create and update financial models to forecast project costs and cash flows
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables meet budget constraints
• Implement and maintain cost control systems to track project expenses and variances
• Provide expert advice on cost-related matters to project managers and senior leadership
• Stay current with local regulations and industry best practices in cost engineering
• Provide budget and cost performance evaluation, interpretation and support business planning efforts.

Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering, Quantity Surveyor

• 10-15 years of experience in cost engineering and cost reporting / management, preferably in large-scale infrastructure or major construction projects
• Extensive knowledge of cost engineering principles, PMO practices, and budget management
• Has led cost control teams and managed the cost function at a departmental level.
• Can support recruitment efforts in identifying. interviewing and deploying cost control staff into the project team.
• Strong proficiency in cost management software (Primavera systems, Excel)
• Excellent knowledge and skills in the areas of financial modeling, risk assessment, and contract management
• In-depth understanding of design review processes and their impact on project costs
• Familiarity with construction and engineering practices in Saudi Arabia
• Knowledge of local regulations and standards relevant to project costing and management
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
