Job summary

TASNEE in Jubail invites a seasoned Rotating Engineer to join our Oil & Gas portfolio. You will troubleshoot, optimize maintenance, and lead small project teams across rotating equipment including compressors and turbines.

The role requires a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, 10 years' experience in oil and gas/petrochemical sectors, and certifications in vibration analysis and reliability. Excellent English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10 years in experience in Oil and Gas or Petrochemical industries.
• CMRP certification is required.
• Vibration certificate CAT II or III preferred.
• MLA (Machinery Lubrication Analyst) level-II is a MUST.

Responsibilities

• Plan and analyze data to reach optimal conclusions.
• Troubleshoot chronic issues affecting equipment and plant availability.
• Provide first-line supervision and act as a technical reference for junior engineers and technicians.
• Lead cross-functional teams for root cause analysis and maintenance improvements.
• Prepare routine and non-routine reports.
• Maintain knowledge of maintenance strategies and CMMS processes.
• Be SME for rotating equipment like extruders, compressors, turbines, and gas turbines.
• Monitor vibration signatures and liaise with vendors for analysis.

Job description

An exciting opportunity is available for Rotating Engineer located in Jubail.

Job Purpose

Rotating Engineer must be capable of troubleshooting, process improvement or maintenance modifications, perform independently, generic process design on a specific technology. Liaise with external entities. Capable to lead small teams on minor projects The role holder may participate in work programmes and budgetary planning, while problems solved and decisions made will be based on variations of relatively standardized procedures but requiring specialist professional expertise. This requires adequate planning and analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to reach optimal conclusions. The ability to mentor junior staff, and from time to time to supervise their work.

Role Responsibilities

• Planning and analytical skills to interpreted data to reach optimal conclusions.
• Trouble shoots the chronic issue which effecting equipment and plant availability.
• Provide first-line supervision and act as a technical reference point for Fresh and Area Rotating Engineers and assigned technicians.
• Resolves problems that affect plant performance after forming a cross functional team and taking help from seniors.
• Preparation of routine and non-routine reports.
• Aware with all maintenance strategies and development. So, CMRP (Certified Maintenance& Reliability professional) is a must.
• Hands on experience as SME in troubleshooting, engineering & life assessment study and solving the PK& Bad actors of polymer plant major rotating equipment like extruders, high pressure reciprocating compressors like (HYPER compressors).
• Hands on experience as SME in troubleshooting, engineering & life assessment study and solving the PK& Bad actors of turbo machinery major rotating equipment like steam turbines, centrifugal compressors like (MITSUBISHI compressors) and gas turbines (SIEMENS SGT600).
• Having sense of vibration analyst fundamentals , Read vibration signatures and have basis of analysis. So, vibration certificate
• CAT. level-II is a must. Preferable vibration certificate CAT level III.
• Analyse oil analysis report and challenge third party report and conclude the results and recommendations. So, MLA (Machinery lubrication analyst) certificate level-II is a MUST.
• Conduct Reliability studies on Rotating equipment and identify the area of weaknesses and opportunity of increase the productivity and availability.
• Able to lead RCA (root cause analysis) for major machine failure and having hands on skills with proven case.

Qualification, Experience Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10 years in experience in Oil and Gas or Petrochemical industries.

Technical Skills

• Good knowledge of Machinery condition Monitoring technologies and maintenance philosophies is desirable.
• Excellent working, Maintenance and corrective procedure of rotating and associated equipment, specifically centrifugal compressors/Recip. comp/Turbines/Pump
• Strong command of business-level written and spoken English.
• Analytical thinking and problem solving.
