Job summary

Gulf Farabi Petrochemical Company in Medina is seeking an experienced Rotating Equipment Specialist to lead maintenance activities and enhance reliability of plant rotating machinery.

You will develop predictive and preventive maintenance plans, write operating instructions, mentor technicians, and collaborate with vendors to ensure timely spares and compliance with engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering is required.
• 6-8 years of experience in rotating equipment in the oil industry or similar process industry.
• Knowledge of oil industry standards and codes; additional certifications are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assists with maintenance activities of Rotating equipment in the plant
• Establishes procedures and instructions required for maintenance of rotating equipment according to engineering principles and safety regulations
• Contribute to the development of Predictive and Preventive Maintenance plans and procedures for all rotating equipments
• Lead the Investigation team and conduct root cause analysis for major rotating equipment failures and troubleshoot various types of rotating equipment problems
• Develop and review Operating Instruction Manuals for new rotary equipment or systems
• Perform vibration analysis steady state transient vortex shedding slug water hammer
• Mentor and transfer technical knowledge and skills to entry level engineers
• Record and analyze causes of equipment failure and recommends long-term remedy solutions

• Participates in the decisions of replacing rotating equipment by giving technical evaluations
• Records and analyzes causes of equipment failure and recommends long-term remedy solutions
• Lead the Investigation team and conduct root cause analysis for major rotating equipment failures and troubleshoot various types of rotating equipment problems
• Review parts selection for obsolete or out-of-production parts
• Develop the required technical studies reports and reviews of all types of rotating equipment
• Develop and perform performance tests on all different types of rotating equipment such as compressors and pumps etc
• Plan strategies to maintain rotating equipment and avoid obsolescence
• Contributes in design packages for any upgrade changes in the plant rotary equipments
• Develop and review Operating Instruction Manuals for new rotary equipment or systems
• Perform efficiency calculations for pumps and compressors
• Perform vibration analysis steady state transient vortex shedding slug water hammer
• Mentor and transfer technical knowledge and skills to entry level engineers
• Ensure keeping maintaining and updating a database of all historical data pertaining to rotating equipment failures and assist in analyzing failure data and preparing reliability test reports

Qualifications
