- Assists with maintenance activities of Rotating equipment in the plant
- Establishes procedures and instructions required for maintenance of rotating equipment according to engineering principles and safety regulations
- Contribute to the development of Predictive and Preventive Maintenance plans and procedures for all rotating equipments
- and provide technical expertise for rotating equipment maintenance activities

- Tests newly installed Rotating equipment to ensure to fulfil requirement of supplied equipment specifications
- Provides on-job training to maintenance technicians to develop their skills to perform their duties in most safe and economical manner
- Reviews with vendor for required spares amp services to ensure the equipment maintenance is not delayed because of lack of spare parts
- Participates in the decisions of replacing rotating equipment by giving technical evaluations
- Records and analyzes causes of equipment failure and recommends long-term remedy solutions
- Lead the Investigation team and conduct root cause analysis for major rotating equipment failures and troubleshoot various types of rotating equipment problems
- Review parts selection for obsolete or out-of-production parts
- Develop the required technical studies reports and reviews of all types of rotating equipment
- Develop and perform performance tests on all different types of rotating equipment such as compressors and pumps etc
- Plan strategies to maintain rotating equipment and avoid obsolescence
- Contributes in design packages for any upgrade changes in the plant rotary equipments
- Develop and review Operating Instruction Manuals for new rotary equipment or systems
- Perform efficiency calculations for pumps and compressors
- Perform vibration analysis steady state transient vortex shedding slug water hammer
- Mentor and transfer technical knowledge and skills to entry level engineers
- Ensure keeping maintaining and updating a database of all historical data pertaining to rotating equipment failures and assist in analyzing failure data and preparing reliability test reports

Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical engineering
Experience
A minimum of 6 - 8 years of experience in the field of Rotating Equipment in the oil industry or a similar process industry
Knowledge
Knowledge of oil industry standards and codes for Rotating Equipment Engineering and additional certifications would be an advantage
