Job description

Overview

Provide technical support to the Engineering Department while gaining practical experience across project phases from concept design through Issued for Construction (IFC). Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to assist in the successful delivery of engineering projects in line with company standards and project requirements. Support Senior Managers and Managers in developing efficient, safe, and cost‑effective engineering solutions while actively learning and contributing to innovative practices. Ensure tasks are executed with attention to quality, compliance, and continuous professional development in alignment with the company’s objectives.

Job Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate engineering designs and drawings prepared by consultants, providing technical feedback and recommendations to enhance performance, cost‑efficiency, constructability, and compliance with company standards and specifications.
• Perform detailed technical analyses to identify, assess, and resolve engineering challenges encountered during project execution.
• Propose and implement innovative practical solutions to optimize project delivery and outcomes.
• Support the preparation, coordination, and submission of required permits, approvals, and technical documentation ensuring full compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and local authority requirements.
• Prepare, maintain, and control comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications, engineering drawings, progress reports, and correspondence.
• Provide regular technical updates to the Senior Manager and relevant stakeholders.
• Proactively identify engineering‑related risks and collaborate with project teams to develop and implement effective risk mitigation and contingency strategies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance engineering processes, systems, and practices through the adoption of industry best practices and emerging technologies.
• Coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and internal departments to address technical concerns, collect feedback, and ensure stakeholder satisfaction with delivered engineering solutions.
• Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, codes, and best practices in engineering and actively pursue personal and professional development opportunities.
• Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Prepare accurate and timely functional deliverables and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards.
