Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Construction Supervision team for a major infrastructure project at KAEC. You will oversee electrical works, review submittals, and coordinate with utilities to ensure quality and safety on site.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of construction supervision experience, strong knowledge of MV/LV systems, and excellent communication skills to support project delivery in Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of MV/LV power distribution, street lighting, electrical utilities, and telecom infrastructure.
• Experience with Saudi Arabia-based projects and consultants is preferred.
• Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical infrastructure works ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, and contract requirements.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and material approvals.
• Oversee installation of MV/LV networks and street lighting.
• Monitor progress and provide technical guidance to site teams.
• Witness testing, commissioning, energization, and handover activities.
• Identify technical issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with authorities, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements are met.
• Support Resident Engineer in planning, reporting, and risk management.
• Prepare and review technical reports and progress updates.

WSP is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Construction Supervision team for a major infrastructure development project at King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) . The successful candidate will oversee the supervision, review, and coordination of electrical works associated with roads, utilities, power distribution, street lighting, and telecom infrastructure, ensuring compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor electrical infrastructure works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and material approvals.
• Oversee installation of MV and LV power distribution networks, street lighting systems, telecom infrastructure, and associated electrical works.
• Monitor construction progress and provide technical guidance to contractors and site teams.
• Witness testing, commissioning, energization, and handover activities.
• Review inspection reports and ensure quality standards are maintained throughout project execution.
• Coordinate with utility authorities, contractors, and project stakeholders to facilitate project delivery.
• Identify technical issues, non-conformances, and construction challenges and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
• Support the Resident Engineer in project planning, reporting, risk management, and progress monitoring.
• Participate in meetings and provide technical input on electrical engineering matters.
• Prepare and review technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in MV/LV power distribution, street lighting, electrical utilities, and telecom infrastructure.
• Previous experience working with engineering consultants on construction supervision projects.
• Strong knowledge of international electrical codes, standards, and industry practices.
• Experience in testing and commissioning of electrical infrastructure systems.
• Demonstrated ability to review contractor deliverables and resolve technical issues.
• Strong communication, coordination, and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software.
• Previous experience in Saudi Arabia and major infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Professional registration and relevant certifications will be considered an advantage.
• Fluency in English is essential; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
