Job summary

The Red Sea Development Company is seeking a BIM Engineer to support modular construction projects with architectural scope. You will develop, manage, and maintain 3D BIM models using Revit, ensuring integration with structural, MEP, and fabrication teams.

Responsibilities include modeling, coordination, clash detection, documentation, and liaison with design teams to ensure accuracy from design through installation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8–10 years of experience in BIM, specifically in architectural design and coordination within modular construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • BIM Modeling & Coordination: Create, modify and manage detailed 3D BIM models for architectural elements using Revit.
  • Design & Detailing for Fit‑Out and Faade: Develop accurate BIM models for interior partitions, finishes, cladding, glazing.
  • Collaboration with Cross‑Disciplinary Teams: Coordinate BIM with structural, MEP engineers, contractors and fabrication teams; resolve clashes.
  • BIM Documentation & Reporting: Generate drawings, schedules and reports from the BIM model; track design changes.
  • Modular Construction Integration: Align architectural design with modular components and review fabrication/shop drawings.
  • Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure BIM models meet standards and building codes; perform model audits.
  • Policies & Procedures: Follow SOPs and instructions; assist in installation reports for procurement team.
  • HSEQ: Apply safety, quality, and environmental policies to ensure compliant delivery.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes and productivity.

Job Summary

The BIM Engineer will play a critical role in supporting the design, coordination, and delivery of modular construction projects focusing on the architectural scope. Using Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies, the BIM Engineer will develop, manage and maintain 3D models ensuring all aspects are fully integrated and compliant with project requirements, codes, and standards. This position requires collaboration with project teams, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that all modular components are accurately modeled, fabricated, and installed efficiently.

Job Responsibilities
  • BIM Modeling & Coordination
    • Create, modify and manage detailed 3D BIM models for architectural elements using Revit software.
    • Ensure seamless integration with structural, MEP, and other design disciplines.
  • Design & Detailing for Fit‑Out and Faade
    • Develop accurate and detailed BIM models for modular fit‑out elements such as interior partitions, flooring, ceilings, doors, and windows and faade systems including cladding, glazing, and external finishes.
    • Coordinate with design teams to ensure all architectural components are properly detailed and modeled.
  • Collaboration with Cross‑Disciplinary Teams
    • Coordinate the architectural BIM model with structural, MEP engineers, contractors, and fabrication teams to ensure all components fit together seamlessly in the modular construction process.
    • Identify and resolve conflicts or clashes within the model using clash detection.
  • BIM Documentation & Reporting
    • Generate detailed drawings, schedules, and reports from the BIM model for use in construction, fabrication, and installation phases.
    • Maintain an accurate record of all design changes and updates throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Modular Construction Integration
    • Work closely with modular fabrication teams to ensure the architectural design is efficiently translated into modular components.
    • Review fabrication drawings and shop drawings to ensure they align with the BIM model and design intent.
  • Quality Control & Compliance
    • Ensure all BIM models and documentation meet quality standards, project specifications, and compliance with building codes, regulations, and client requirements.
    • Perform regular model audits and updates to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Policies & Procedures
    • Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
    • Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely installation reports for RSG Procurement team to enable monitoring of overall FFE installation progress in a zone‑wise manner.
  • Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ)
    • Apply safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, high‑quality products/services delivery, and a responsible environmental attitude.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of Chief of Staff Office systems, processes, and practices considering international best practice, improvement of business processes, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.
  • Working Relationships
    • Internal: C3 Group as applicable, RSG, Client Project team.
    • External: Suppliers, subcontractors, operator, end‑user, auditors.
Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 8–10 years of experience in BIM, specifically in architectural design and coordination within modular construction projects.

Skills
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit (mandatory), Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other relevant design tools.
    • Knowledge of modular construction processes, including prefabrication and assembly techniques (highly preferred).
  • Knowledge of Architectural Design
    • Strong understanding of architectural design principles with specific expertise in fit‑out design, interior layouts, finishes, and façade systems, cladding, glazing, and exterior finishes.
  • Clash Detection & Coordination
    • Experience with clash detection tools and processes, ensuring that all design elements are coordinated and free from conflicts.
