JOB TITLE: Engineering Supervisor
REPORTING TO: Chief Engineer / DOE

THE POSITION

Under the guidance of the Chief Engineer / DOE, the position will operate, Control, maintain and repair all aspects of the Palace’s Systems, Programs, equipment, assets and Admins, in accordance with Boutique Group standards to achieve optimum operating efficiency at all times

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

QUALIFICATIONS

JOB DUTIES:

• Maintains high confidentiality.
• Ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported immediately.
• For all of him supervised works executed, by own staff members or external third parties and on the building, plants or technical installations he shares the responsibility.
• Set up scenarios and contingency plans for all possible breakdowns and ensure readiness of the corrective action and delivering the best alternative scenarios to ensure all guest and stakeholder satisfactions and safety, ensure all staff trained and ready to do their roles in high quality all the time by implementing required monthly inspection and tests,
• Set Up / Implements together with the Chief Engineer on the Software “Transcendent” all necessary work procedures for preventive maintenance, initiates respective scheduled procedures and monitors carrying out of work.
• Determines for repair work the priorities and takes care for the quick removing of all breakdowns. Does not accept work, which is not executed in a competent manner. In case of disputes, involves the Chief Engineer or Director of Engineering for a decision.
• Carries out preventive and routine maintenance comply with PM & RPM Program guidance and tools.
• Ensure strictly follow up and update the program requirement such checklists, daily routine data collection and review, logbooks, procurement processed. with on time Correction Actions required
• Attend operational meetings or briefings requested by the Chief Engineer/Director of Engineering.
• Supports to ensure all staff are thoroughly familiar with the hotel’s emergency equipment and procedures and in a state of preparedness for any emergency, which may occur.
• Execution of regular technical/skills or “On the Job” trainings. Is responsible for setting up and maintaining ongoing training programs in the Engineering division
• Attends to all types of repairs and maintenance work in the Palace premises, including any new additional / extensions to the Palace or any other properties maintained by the Palace.
• Control/Responds to entire process of guest maintenance request within 15 minutes or receipt of the same and strictly follow entire program and actions related.
• Ensures that the plant rooms, workshops and related areas are kept clean and tidy condition.
• Observes prescribed safety standards. Helps maintain safe conditions for self and others.
• Ensure full responsibility for completing Repair and maintenance journey starts from Task assignment along with repair, parts ordering, receiving, quality control, installation then Testing and commissioning ends up with completion of required records & updates end with task completion and handover
• Performs related duties and special project as assigned
• Must know how to prepare Entire systems, programs for Status inspection
• Need to be able to run/Operate/Control/Documentation of the entire engineering systems, planets through the Software’s and minimum required knowledge for site operations and control plant
• Responsible for maintaining system temperatures and equipment runtimes through the BMS and Auto-Flame
• Fully control of the energy management systems, program, recommendations, guidance and records on time to ensure best property energy performance and management
• Responsible for the storing management system, stock movements, Minimum & Maximum stocks control and Availability to ensure full operational support.
• Responsible for all reporting systems and processes till process completion.
• Ensure all operational processes goes through the P&P and records up to date for inspections
• Responsible for engineering digitalization and archive
• Responsible for immediate reporting of any deviation and handling the process of corrective actions
• Continual Spot checks and inspections for entire Department operations and Repair& maintenance processes to ensure full implementation as per manufacturer guidance and instructions
• Responsible for implementation, recording, updating the safety systems and programs as per P&P and under guidance of Chief Engineer/DOE
• Ensure updating, recording, validity of entire certificates, annual maintenance contracts, warrantees, licenses, SOPs andsimilar without going expiry.
• To Complete Entire programs, systems, records, documentations ready all the time for inspection and auditing
• Supports in all kinds of administration related to the engineering department
• Ensure completion of redness processes for Entire programs, systems, records, documentation includes RACI requirements, corrective actions and related actions.
• To complete the personal daily job record, time book accurately and keep ready for inspection.
• To fully comprehend the building automation system operation, alarm and functionality.
• Responsible for systems/Trends functionality, availability and control.
• Responsible for departmental expenses control and implementation of account check box and strict budget control without compromising on the safety, quality and services

• Responsible for Monthly closing processes completion such Attendance, Account check box, records keeping, file updates, Guest satisfaction analysis and action plans, store handling, purchasing processes, safety records and updates, PM and RPM Program analysis, BMS timetable & set point updates, Utility consumptions, utilities readings records, unities control and financial systems critics etc.,
• Accordingly provides the sufficient and reasonable supply of spare parts and materials on time he supports.
• Responsible for aiding the Chief Engineer to co-ordinate and supervise the Engineering Department including the safekeeping and proper use of tools, materials and equipment ensuring that the Hotel plant is kept in a safe and proper condition
• Responsible of controlling the Annual maintenance contracts, contractors include attending all visits assuring full-service delivery and accurate report keeping.
• Tests and analysis of all water systems within the Place to include but not restricted to swimming pools, Water Park, Health club Spas, Jacuzzis, ornamental water systems, fresh potable water, chilled water systems, condenser water systems, potable water etc. According to International water safety and quality program.
• Maintains all controls within the normal parameters.
• Maintains adequate stocks of chemicals to maintain the parameters.
• Arranges for periodic tests of the water systems for checks against Legionella, bacteria etc.
• Maintains records of all tests and treatments and submit them to the Chief Engineer daily
• Establishes with the Chief engineer priorities of work.
• Is fully familiar with the fire and safety precautions, how to operate the firefighting equipment as a member of the firefighting team.
• Through personal department, attitude and appearance, it promotes a high level of interaction with other departments and a high degree of guest satisfaction
