Job summary

Al-Qadsiah Club invites a First Team Sports Scientist to join our performance team in Saudi Arabia. You will translate complex data into practical insights for coaches, focusing on training load, readiness, and injury risk to enhance player performance and team outcomes.

You will work with GPS/HR data, testing protocols, and multi-source datasets, helping shape our game model and performance strategy within a professional football environment.

Qualifications

• Masters's Degree in Physiology, Sports Science or related area.
• PhD specializing in Physiology, Sports Science or related area (Desirable).
• Accreditation or registration with a relevant professional body (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day monitoring and analysis of First Team loads using GPS, HR, wellness and testing data.
• Evaluate training loads to support player availability and injury-risk management.
• Produce clear reports on training status, readiness and physical performance.
• Plan and deliver physical performance testing and profiling with proper protocols.
• Develop a consistent training load and testing framework.
• Integrate physical performance, medical, testing data into dashboards and insights.
• Contribute to dashboards, visualisations and reporting tools for coaches.
• Analyse multi-source datasets to identify trends relevant to readiness and performance.
• Support development and validation of models for readiness and injury risk.
• Support physical positional profiling within the club's Game Model.
• Identify new technologies to improve performance provision.
• Contribute to sport science knowledge base via research.
• Keep CPD and standards up to date.
• Other duties as required by the Head of Performance.
