EXP Arabia seeks a versatile Electrical Design Engineer with strong Revit MEP and CAD skills to deliver electrical design from concept through construction documents.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of experience in Electrical Design in Saudi Arabia.
• Holder of a degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable institution.
• Active member of the Saudi Council of Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Produce working Revit MEP drawings/models.
• Produce working CAD drawings and models.
• Visualize systems in 3D and use clash detection software.
• Prepare Revit floor plans showing electrical layouts and circuits.
• Perform overcurrent coordination studies using SKM Powertools.
• Prepare electrical system design and construction deliverables from concept to CD.
• Create one-line diagrams with input from engineers.
• Prepare load calculations and panel schedules.
• Research codes to comply with building codes (NFPA, Energy Codes).
• Demonstrate knowledge of lighting and lighting controls.
• Coordinate space and utility requirements with other disciplines.

EXP Arabia is seeking a versatile, experienced, and reliable “Electrical Design Engineer” with the following requirements:

• Proficient in producing working Revit MEP drawings/models.
• Proficient in producing working CAD drawings and models.
• Proficient visualizing systems in a 3D environment and utilizing clash detection software (IE: Interference Watcher).
• Prepare Revit floor plans showing electrical device layouts, circuitry, fixtures, equipment, etc. with limited input from Engineers.
• Perform overcurrent coordination studies using SKM Powertools for proper coordination of overcurrent devices.
• Prepare electrical system design, reports, and necessary deliverables from concept all the way through construction documents.
• Prepare one-line diagrams with input from Engineers
• Prepare calculations for electrical loads and panel schedules.
• Code research to comply with building codes, NFPA, Energy Codes etc.
• Demonstrates knowledge of lighting, photometrics, and lighting controls.
• Understands and applies concepts of voltage drop, conductor sizing, etc.
• Edit electrical specifications to reflect project requirements with input from Engineers.
• Layout fire alarm devices on floor plans.
• Exposure to equipment room sizing and layouts during the SD phase.
• Ability to direct an EL1 or Interns on a limited basis.
• Select and schedule equipment with limited oversight by Engineers.
• Meet with vendors to get exposure to specification requirements for different applications.
• Participates in field verification and take-offs of existing systems for renovation projects
• Initiates coordination of space and utility requirements with other disciplines (PL, MX, Arch, Struct, etc.).
• Maintain the discipline Engineering Calcs and equipment selections for the project.
• Exposure and general awareness of risk management procedures to minimize EXP and client’s exposure.

Background and Qualifications

• 4-8 Years of Experience in Electrical Design in Saudi Arabia
• Holder of a degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable institution
• Active member of the Saudi Council of Engineers
• Proficient in CAD software, REVIT preferred

Non-Technical

• Professionalism: Appropriate written and verbal communications skills.
• Professional presentation external and internal to office. (IE: attire, engagement, meeting prep, etc.)
• Demonstrates presentation skills through internal and external technical presentations and white papers.
• Leads participation in voluntary training opportunities such as vendor lunch and learns. (IE: engage and ask questions)
• Positively contributes to EXP and local office culture.
