Job summary

NEW Alfa International is seeking a Substation Automation Engineer in Saudi Arabia to design, configure and commission SAS in line with IEC 61850 and related protocols. You will work on protection, automation and SCADA integration for high-voltage substations, coordinating with utilities and OEM vendors to deliver reliable solutions.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related fields, with CCNA/CCNP certifications preferred and experience in SAS, SCADA, RTU, PLC,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Power Systems, Communications, or Computer Systems Engineering (Master's preferred).
• CCNA/CCNP certification is desirable for this role.
• Experience with substation automation, protection, and control systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designing, configuring and commissioning Substation Automation Systems (SAS) in line with IEC 61850 and related protocols.
• Overseeing integration of SAS with SCADA, RTU, PLC, PMS, and IEDs for high-voltage substations.
• Collaborating with utilities and OEM vendors to ensure compliant and reliable protection and control solutions.

The Substation Automation Engineer is responsible for designing configuring and commissioning Substation Automation Systems SAS in compliance with IEC 61850 and related protocols. The role covers Power System Protection Automation amp Control including SCADA RTU PLC Power Monitoring Systems PMS and IEDs integrating these systems with utilities and OEM vendors for high-voltage substations

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Power Systems, Communications, or Computer Systems Engineering (Master's preferred)
• Certified professional courses preferred: CCNA, CCNP, MCP, MCTS, or equivalent in applications software, database/network administration, and LAN/WAN/ATM installation & configuration
