Job summary

Rosewood Hotels and Resorts in Jeddah seeks an engineer to manage safe, efficient operation of hotel systems, lead energy conservation and green initiatives, and coordinate with other departments. The candidate will participate in fire response readiness, supervise contractors, and maintain strong teamwork with guests and staff while upholding Rosewood quality standards.

Qualifications

• Familiarize yourself with the status of machinery, equipment and systems at the start of your shift.
• Be familiar with all orders and instructions for operational control.
• Ensure safe, efficient and economical operation of all equipment and installations during your shift.
• Record readings and other information as directed.
• Maintain control of operational keys, engineering materials and spare parts during your shift.
• Receive goods and supplies delivered during your shift.
• Ensure safe, efficient and economical practices per supervisor's instructions.
• Keep your supervisor fully informed on progress and its impact on hotel operations.
• Liaise with other departments to clarify work required and advise on correct operation of equipment.
• Coordinate cost estimates for budget and other submissions.
• Familiarize yourself with the availability of spare parts and local suppliers.
• Report to superiors any information which would affect hotel operation or the engineering department.
• Suggest improvements to achieve higher efficiency or lower operating costs.
