Job summary

TAQA (Industrialization & Energy Services Company) in Dammam seeks a drilling engineer to lead well planning, design, and execution of drilling programs. You will collaborate with geologists, reservoir and production engineers to ensure safe, efficient operations that meet client specifications.

The role requires hands-on experience in directional drilling, wellbore planning, LWD/geosteering, and rigorous data analysis.

Qualifications

BSc in engineering required.
3 years in directional drilling and drilling engineering.
Preference for petroleum, electrical, chemical or mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

Design and plan wells with optimal drilling techniques and equipment.
Create wellbore trajectories considering targets and regulations.
Conduct risk assessments and mitigation for drilling challenges.
Collaborate with geologists and LWD specialists for real-time monitoring.
Ensure compliance with environmental, safety and regulatory standards.
Analyze drilling performance data and recommend improvements.
Identify opportunities to optimize drilling practices and costs.
Prepare technical reports, well plans and post-drilling evaluations.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate planning with field development.
Promote a safety-first culture and monitor adherence to HSE protocols.
Stay updated with industry best practices and new technologies.
Lead pre-job preparation and mentoring of junior team members.
