Job summary

raafa is seeking a Domestic to join our Merriwa facilities, working across kitchen, servery, cleaning and laundry teams. You will help provide meals, maintain a home-like environment, and support residents in collaboration with hospitality and clinical staff.

The role requires hospitality experience, autonomous work, and strong communication with residents and families. We value teamwork, empathy for the elderly, and reliable time management in a not-for-profit setting.

• Previous experience working in a hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Performing all food handling duties in accordance with Foodsafe Hygiene Regulations
• Communicate with residents and staff to ensure that meals and snacks provided meet quality and choice expectations
• Assist residents with choices from the menu as published
• Perform cleaning duties as per the kitchen cleaning schedules and documenting when duties are completed
• Collect, launder, fold and return linen for residents as per the cleaning schedule
• Ensure the laundry is clean, tidy and equipment is used safely and correctly
• Contribute to a safe working environment by identifying or reporting all incidents, accidents and hazards
• Contribute to maintaining a home-like environment for residents.

Location: Merriwa, WA

Help provide a warm, welcoming environment for staff and residents alike as a Domestic at our Karri & Tuart Lodge and Vivian Bullwinkel Lodge facilities in Merriwa. Working with the Kitchen, Servery and Cleaning teams with raafa, you will work closely and collaboratively with other teams and clinical staff to ensure the needs and desires of the residents are met efficiently and effectively. Whether it’s maintaining a clean and tidy state within the Residential Care Centre, providing clean linen and personal items or assisting with the provision of meals, drinks and snacks, you will contribute to the maintenance of a home-like environment for our residents.

Working across kitchen, servery, cleaning and laundry services, you will collaborate closely with hospitality and clinical teams to ensure residents receive high-quality service and care. Our Domestic team members typically commence in one area and are cross-trained across all service areas, providing flexibility and variety in the role while supporting team needs.
