The position will establish document control procedures, administer electronic document management systems, coordinate technical documentation workflows, oversee project handover records, and lead document control personnel while ensuring compliance with contractual, client, ISO 9001, and company requirements.
The Document Control Manager will lead the document and records management function across engineering, design, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover activities. The role requires systematic control of project information from initial receipt and registration through review, approval, revision, distribution, final turnover, and archival.
The Document Control Manager will coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, consultants, and client representatives to maintain efficient information flows across project disciplines. The role will facilitate document reviews and approvals, communicate documentation requirements, monitor outstanding actions, and help project teams meet required submission and response timelines.
Experience administering Electronic Document Management Systems such as Aconex, SharePoint, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or comparable platforms is required for effective project information management. The role also requires an understanding of document security, access permissions, master registers, transmittal management, KPI reporting, records retention, and ISO 9001-related document control requirements.
Newly hired AECOM employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.
