Job summary

Parsons in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, seeks a DLP and Snagging Engineer to support defects management, asset handover, and operational readiness across assigned assets. You will identify and prioritize defects, coordinate with project teams and service providers, and ensure close-out documentation meets safety, reliability, and regulatory requirements for smooth handover into operations.

This role requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in construction completion or DLP, with strong CAFM/CMMS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in construction completion, asset handover, DLP management, snagging, or O&M.
• Experience coordinating defect identification, technical rectification, and close-out.
• Experience with SLA/KPI monitoring and performance reporting.
• Knowledge of MEP, building systems, and interfaces with soft services.
• Proficiency with CAFM and CMMS systems and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day engineering support for DLP and snagging activities across assets.
• Identify and assess defects, incomplete works, and readiness issues and ensure proper logging, prioritization, and progress toward closure.
• Conduct site inspections, joint walkthroughs, snagging reviews, defect verification visits, and close-out validation.
• Coordinate inspections and rectification activities with project teams, consultants, contractors, service providers, and operations stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate defect and snag registers with engineering descriptions, ownership, priorities, target dates, status updates, supporting evidence, escalation routes, and close-out records.
• Monitor contractor performance against DLP obligations, including rectification progress, recurring defects, response times, and warranty matters.
• Support asset handover by reviewing manuals, asset registers, warranties, test records, permits, and compliance documentation.
• Verify that handover requirements are addressed before assets are accepted into operations.
• Use CAFM/CMMS systems, snagging platforms, dashboards to control defect information and monitor close-out.
• Assess defects from engineering and risk perspectives, considering safety, compliance, reliability, and public impact.
• Support disciplined technical close-out through evidence-based verification and reporting.
