Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Director, Infrastructure - Power & Utilities, based in Riyadh. You will lead day-to-day delivery across major workstreams, engage as the senior client counterpart on site, and structure complex problems across generation, transmission, water, and other utility sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field. An MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is a plus, not required.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in Power & Utilities, infrastructure, energy or water, data center (digital infrastructure), cooling and waste with MEA exposure.
• Depth in at least one core P&U area, with breadth across the utility value chain.
• Experience in consulting, advisory, utility or developer, EPC and capital projects, infrastructure investment, or regulatory bodies.
• Evidence of leading multidisciplinary teams, turning analysis into practical client actions.
• Commercial awareness and growing business development capability, including proposals and client relationships.
• Arabic language capability is a plus. Willingness to travel across the Middle East and Africa.

Responsibilities

• Run the day-to-day delivery of major workstreams or smaller engagements as senior client counterpart on the ground.
• Structure ambiguous problems, set analytical path and lead team to clear answers across capital projects and regulatory questions.
• Lead asset and portfolio work across generation, transmission, renewables, water, data centers, cooling and integrated utility systems.
• Build robust fact bases, business cases, benchmarks and implementation plans with clear financial implications.
• Turn findings into action through governance, PMO or control-tower disciplines, and value-capture tracking.
• Stay close to the client with working sessions and steering meetings; produce concise materials for decision-making.
• Identify follow-on work, shape proposals and contribute to account plans and pursuits.
• Coordinate with A&M specialists and external experts to deliver integrated client solutions.
