Maaden Saudi Arabian Mining Company seeks a Director of Industrial Artificial Intelligence to shape the AI strategy and portfolio across mining, processing, and industrial assets. The role connects AI with OT, data, and engineering to deliver safe, productive, and sustainable operations.

The Director will lead a cross-functional team, establish governance, partnerships, and responsible AI practices to scale impact globally within Maaden.

Qualificações

• Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, Mining Engineering, or related quantitative discipline.
• PhD in a relevant discipline is preferred.
• 15+ years of relevant experience including at least 7 years in AI, analytics, optimization, automation, or digital transformation.
• Experience in mining, metals, energy, manufacturing, or asset-intensive environments is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering scalable, production-grade AI solutions.

Responsabilidades

• Shape and evolve Maaden’s Industrial AI strategy and investment portfolio with strong strategic, operational, and economic value.
• Translate priorities into a balanced portfolio of scalable AI opportunities with clear value, feasibility, risk, and adoption criteria.
• Establish operating model, standards, and governance to scale Industrial AI responsibly across operations.
• Drive measurable improvements in safety, productivity, recovery, reliability, and energy efficiency through AI solutions.
• Advance AI-enabled decision-making across exploration, geology, mine planning, and operations.
• Move high-value AI initiatives from experimentation to production with sustained adoption and ownership.
• Lead development and deployment of production-grade AI capabilities addressing industrial challenges at scale.
• Integrate AI with OT, historians, control systems, digital twins, and enterprise tech.
• Govern AI solutions for model performance, cybersecurity, data governance, explainability, and safety.
• Build and lead an integrated Industrial AI function spanning exploration to industrial operations.
