Job summary

Seder Group Trading and Contracting in Saudi Arabia is seeking a diesel generator technician to perform routine maintenance, inspections and repairs to ensure optimal performance of generator sets.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, replace defective components, test generator capacity with load bank testing, and install/commission new sets with proper connection and startup, while keeping detailed service records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational diesel training highly advantageous.
• ASE certification or generator manufacturer training preferred.
• Proven experience with industrial or commercial power generation systems.
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, electrical systems, and control panels.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and specialized tools for diesel engines and generators.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify root causes.
• Performs maintenance, repairs and service on generator systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel generators including oil changes, filter replacements and fluid checks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and expertise.
• Repair and replace faulty components such as fuel injectors, alternators, starters and control panels.
• Conduct load bank testing to verify capacity under various conditions.
• Install and commission new diesel generator sets with proper connection and startup.
• Maintain detailed service records for accurate tracking and reporting.
