Job summary

Tamem seeks a DevOps Engineer with 2–4 years of experience to support deployment, automation, and operation of cloud-native apps on Alibaba Cloud ACK. The role emphasizes Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitOps, Docker, Helm, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, and Argo CD, along with platform services such as Cassandra, Redis, ELK, Apache APISIX, and Camunda 7.

Ideal candidates will deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize environments, manage container registries like Alibaba Cloud ACR, and ensure reliable releases

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in DevOps, Kubernetes, CI/CD, or cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Practical experience with GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins.
• Strong working knowledge of Helm, YAML, and Kubernetes manifests.
• Good understanding of Git workflows and branching strategies.
• Hands-on experience with Argo CD and GitOps.
• Experience or practical exposure to Cassandra, Redis, and ELK.
• Experience with Apache APISIX or another API Gateway such as Kong or NGINX.
• Experience or exposure to Camunda 7.
• Familiarity with Alibaba Cloud ACK/ACR or another managed Kubernetes platform such as EKS, AKS, or GKE.
• Basic Linux administration and shell scripting skills.
• Understanding of cloud networking, load balancing, container registries, access control, and secrets management.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and support applications on Alibaba Cloud ACK.
• Manage Kubernetes workloads including Deployments, StatefulSets, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, and Secrets.
• Support application scaling, rolling updates, rollbacks, and troubleshooting.
• Manage Docker images and container registries, including Alibaba Cloud ACR.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes networking, connectivity, deployment, and workload issues.
• Monitor cluster health, application performance, and resource utilization.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins.
• Develop and maintain Helm charts and Kubernetes deployment manifests.
• Deploy and operate Argo CD for GitOps-based continuous delivery.
• Integrate GitLab/Jenkins CI pipelines with Argo CD deployment workflows.

Job description

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with 2–4 years of experience to support the deployment, automation, and operation of cloud-native applications on Alibaba Cloud Container Service for Kubernetes (ACK).

The role focuses on Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitOps, Docker, Helm, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, and Argo CD, while also supporting platform services including Cassandra, Redis, ELK, Apache APISIX, and Camunda 7.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in application deployment, automation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and maintaining reliable cloud-native environments. Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and support applications on Alibaba Cloud ACK.
• Manage Kubernetes workloads including Deployments, StatefulSets, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, and Secrets.
• Support application scaling, rolling updates, rollbacks, and troubleshooting.
• Manage Docker images and container registries, including Alibaba Cloud ACR.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes networking, connectivity, deployment, and workload issues.
• Monitor cluster health, application performance, and resource utilization.

2. CI/CD & Release Automation

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins.
• Automate application build, testing, container image creation, and deployment.
• Develop and maintain Helm charts and Kubernetes deployment manifests.
• Manage deployment configurations across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Support automated testing, security scanning, release management, and rollback procedures.
• Troubleshoot pipeline and deployment failures.

3. Git & GitOps

• Apply Git branching and release strategies such as GitFlow or trunk-based development.
• Manage merge requests, protected branches, tags, and release branches.
• Deploy and operate Argo CD for GitOps-based continuous delivery.
• Manage Argo CD Applications/ApplicationSets, sync policies, RBAC, drift detection, and self-healing.
• Integrate GitLab/Jenkins CI pipelines with Argo CD deployment workflows.

4. Platform Services

Deploy, support, monitor, and troubleshoot the following platform services:

• Cassandra – clustering, replication, backup/restore, health monitoring, and basic administration.
• Redis – replication/clustering, persistence, failover, security, and monitoring.
• ELK Stack – centralized logging, dashboards, indices, retention, and troubleshooting.
• Apache APISIX – API routes, upstreams, authentication, rate limiting, TLS, and traffic management.
• Camunda 7 – deployment and support of BPMN/DMN processes, database connectivity, monitoring, and integration with CI/CD.

5. Security, Monitoring & Automation

• Apply Kubernetes RBAC, secrets management, and access-control best practices.
• Support monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
• Troubleshoot Linux, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, and networking issues.
• Support infrastructure automation using Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Work closely with development and QA teams to improve deployment reliability and operational stability.
