Job summary

alfanar is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain the CI/CD pipelines and automation that support our software development lifecycle across cloud and on‑prem environments.

The role focuses on monitoring, capacity planning, security and compliance, and collaboration with development teams to optimize performance and scalability. A Bachelor’s in CS and 4–6 years of relevant experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
• 4–6 years of work experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or cloud engineering.
• Proficient in CI/CD methodologies and tooling.
• Experience with cloud providers and IaC tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.

Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and automation tools that support the software development lifecycle. Involving close collaboration with development, QC, and IT operations teams to streamline deployment processes, ensure system reliability, and enhance scalability and performance in cloud and on-premise environments.

Key Accountability Areas

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools.

Infrastructure Monitoring & Maintenance:

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
• Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

Containerization & Orchestration:

• Implement and manage containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, ECS).

System Automation:

• Automate system configurations, deployments, and scaling using configuration management tools (Ansible, etc.).

Security & Compliance:

• Maintain and improve system security, compliance, and backup strategies.

Collaboration with Development Teams:

• Collaborate with development teams to optimize applications for performance, scalability, and resilience.

System Performance & Capacity Planning:

• Conduct regular system performance testing, tuning, and capacity planning.

Documentation & Operational Excellence:

• Document processes, procedures, and environments to ensure operational excellence.

• Ability to obtain updated soft and technical skills related to the job.

Delivery:

• Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
• Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
