Job summary

Fakeeh Care in Jeddah seeks a Dental Assistant to support dentists during procedures, prepare patients and instruments, and maintain records. You will assist in seating patients, mixing materials, charting results, and preparing surgical trays for procedures.

You will sterilize equipment, take radiographs, educate patients, manage appointments, and ensure infection control. Requires high school education or approved dental assistant course, 1 year experience, and a regional license (SCFHS/DHA).

Qualifications

• High school education or completion of an approved dental assistant course.
• License to practice per regional health regulator (e.g. SCFHS/DHA).
• Minimum 1 year of experience with dental assisting.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in dental software and record-keeping.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during procedures: seat patients, hand instruments, chart results.
• Prepare surgical trays, set up IV equipment, take vital signs, monitor ICU/ER.
• Observe patient condition during procedures and assist surgeon as needed.
• Sterilize and prepare instruments, supplies, and equipment for use.
• Assist in cast model preparation and impression taking.
• Take and process intra- and extra-oral radiographs for diagnosis.
• Maintain patient records, educate patients on care and appliance use.
• Schedule appointments, manage records, requisition supplies, maintain devices.
• Track patient balances and coordinate fee collection with reception.
• Maintain sterilization processes and daily maintenance of dental units.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and keep emergency cart stocked.
• Manage stock levels in the dental supply room and report shortages.
• Daily checks: clean filters, oil handpieces, flush hoses; report defects.
• Ensure compliance with safety, confidentiality, and cybersecurity policies.
