Job summary

Arab Center for Engineering Studies (ACES) is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to assist in analyzing large datasets and building data-driven solutions. You will contribute to data modeling, data pipelines, visualization, and AI-related projects while supporting continuous improvement across the data and software lifecycle.

You will work with ACES teams to ensure data accuracy and provide clear findings through dashboards, reports, and documentation. Prior experience in data analytics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather, clean, and organize large volumes of data from multiple internal and external sources.
• Use statistics and visualization to identify trends and insights.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Write and debug data analytics code in Python or R.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting in the analysis of large datasets and implementing data-driven solutions that support ACES’s goals. Contributing to the design of data models, development of data pipelines, data analysis and visualization, as well as collaborating on AI-related projects and supporting continuous improvement throughout the data and software development lifecycle.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Gather, clean, and organize large volumes of structured and unstructured data from multiple internal and external sources, including ACES data.
• Use statistical tools and visualization techniques to analyze large datasets, identify trends, patterns, and correlations, and extract meaningful insights (e.g., geotechnical parameters, test outcomes, operational data).
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity throughout the analysis process.
• Support ad-hoc data requests as needed.
• Contribute to AI-related initiatives such as natural language processing, predictive analytics, or computer vision, depending on project requirements.
• Write and debug code in data analytics languages (e.g., Python, R).
• Develop or assist in developing APIs and integrations when needed.
• Brainstorm and develop data-driven solutions for improved decision-making and risk assessment.
• Work closely with engineering teams to understand ACES data requirements and ensure proper data interpretation and application.
• Collaborate with IT teams, data engineers, and ERP Techno Functional consultants to develop data automation solutions.
• Attend and contribute to ACES development and data-focused meetings.
• Write reports, technical documentation, and standard operating procedures related to data analytics and AI and maintain up-to-date documentation of data workflows and infrastructure changes.
• Present findings to stakeholders in clear, concise formats using visualizations, dashboards, and reports.
