Job summary

Almarai is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon for its world-class dairy farming operation in Saudi Arabia. Based on six farms, you will lead herd health management, preventive medicine, and disease control to protect about 180,000 cattle and support milk production.

You will collaborate with farm management and nutrition teams, maintain veterinary records, train staff, and ensure animal welfare and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree required.
• Minimum 2–3 years' experience in farm animal practice, preferably dairy cattle.
• Strong knowledge of herd health, preventive medicine, and disease control.

Responsibilities

• Monitor herd health with routine inspections and preventive programs.
• Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and health-related conditions.
• Implement vaccination, biosecurity, and disease-control programs.
• Support reproductive health, calving management, and fertility monitoring.
• Work with farm management and nutrition teams to optimize milk production.
• Maintain veterinary records and ensure welfare and regulatory compliance.
• Train farm staff on animal health, handling, and prevention practices.
