Job summary

Seara International is seeking a qualified customs clearance specialist to manage end-to-end import/export clearance for a food manufacturing operation. You will ensure regulatory compliance, accurate documentation, and timely release of shipments.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in customs clearance, familiarity with SFDA and Incoterms, and strong coordination with authorities and brokers.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in customs clearance for food manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of SFDA, customs regulations and systems (e.g., FASAH, SABER).
• Good understanding of Incoterms.
• Experience dealing with government entities.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review shipping documents (Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin).
• Coordinate with government authorities (Customs, SFDA, Ports, etc.).
• Manage end-to-end clearance process from shipment arrival until final release.
• Ensure correct HS code classification for all shipments.
• Validate customs duties, taxes, and related charges.
• Liaise with customs brokers and clearance agents.
• Handle shipment issues such as inspections, holds, and delays.
• Monitor critical shipments and reduce clearance lead time.
• Ensure compliance with all customs regulations and company policies.
• Provide periodic reports on clearance performance (cost, lead time, issues).
