Job summary

EBANX is seeking an experienced Country Manager to lead our expansion in Saudi Arabia. Reporting to the MENAT Director, you will define the country strategy, build partnerships with regulators, banks, and processors, and drive operational excellence across the payments ecosystem.

You will lead cross-functional teams, navigate regulatory landscapes, and ensure scalable growth in a dynamic, global fintech environment. English and Arabic fluency are mandatory, with based in Riyadh.

Scope of the Role:

Reporting to the MENAT Director, We are seeking an experienced and driven Country Manager to lead our expansion in Saudi Arabia. This pivotal leadership position requires you to define and implement our country strategy, cultivate crucial partnerships, guarantee operational excellence, and manage a top-tier team. We require a strategic leader with extensive understanding of the Saudi Arabian market who can overcome intricate obstacles and capitalize on emerging prospect

What You'll Do

• Shape the Future: Partner with our senior leadership to create and implement the strategy for Saudi Arabia, ensuring it aligns with our global goals.
• Drive Operations: Build and manage the operational infrastructure necessary to support our business growth, continuously optimizing our payment processes to boost efficiency and conversion rates.
• Forge Key Partnerships: Identify, cultivate, and negotiate strategic relationships with SAMA,banks, acquirers, payment processors, and other key stakeholders to unlock new opportunities for growth.
• Collaborate and Align: Work closely with our expansion, product, technology, and legal teams to align on roadmaps and ensure seamless integration of partnerships.
• Analyze and Optimize: Use data and market insights to analyze performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive operational excellence.
• Ensure Compliance: Collaborate with our legal and compliance teams to ensure strict adherence to all local laws and regulations, staying up-to-date on any changes.
• Represent Our Brand: Build and maintain a strong professional network, actively participating in industry events and organizations to enhance our brand presence in the market.

What You'll Need

• Location: Must be based in Riyadh;
• Language: Fluency in English and Arabic is mandatory;
• Proven Expertise: A strong background in the Saudi payments or financial services sector.
• Market Insight: A deep understanding of Saudi market dynamics, its regulatory landscape, and an extensive network within its payment ecosystem.
• Strategic Vision: The ability to think strategically about operations and business development, with a track record of taking calculated risks that lead to significant growth.
• Leadership Skills: Experience leading cross-functional projects and fostering a collaborative, high-performance team environment.
• Negotiation Prowess: Excellent negotiation skills to secure and optimize commercial agreements.
• Communication & Relationships: Exceptional communication and relationship management skills.
• Adaptability: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and work effectively across global teams and time zones.
• Data-Driven Mindset: An analytical approach to translate data into actionable strategies
• A positive, inquisitive attitude and some technical proficiency is a plus.

Measures/KPIs:

• Delivering on plan: TPV, Revenue, Gross Profit for KSA
• Diversification: # of merchants, verticals, merchant types in the KSA market
• Competitive Cost of Payments
• Growth of market share in key KSA payment segments (bank transfers, cards, mobile money)
