Job summary

Brainstorm Headhunting Specialist is seeking an experienced Cost Control Engineer for a major EPC/construction project in Ras Al-Khair, Saudi Arabia. You will monitor budgets, forecasts, and cost performance while supporting project controls and optimization.

Required: 5–9 years in cost control, civil engineering degree, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with EVM and BOQ analysis. Saudi project experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Cost Control Engineer - Ras Al-Khair, Saudi Arabia

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Cost Control Engineer for a major EPC/Construction project in Ras Al-Khair, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring project costs, budgets, forecasts, commitments, and financial performance while supporting project controls and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control project budgets, costs, and expenditures.
• Prepare detailed cost reports, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Track actual costs against approved budgets and identify potential cost overruns.
• Monitor manpower, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Perform BOQ and cost-code analysis.
• Prepare and update EAC (Estimate at Completion) and ETC (Estimate to Complete).
• Support Earned Value Management (EVM) and project performance reporting.
• Monitor project commitments, invoices, and cash flow.
• Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, Finance, Commercial, and Project teams.
• Prepare accurate weekly and monthly cost-control reports.
• Support management with cost trends, forecasts, and corrective-action recommendations.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
• 5-9 years of relevant Cost Control / Project Controls experience.
• Strong experience with EPC, main contractor, industrial, or construction projects.
• KSA project experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • BOQ and cost codes
  • EVM
  • Cost variance analysis
  • Cost reporting
  • EAC and ETC
• Strong MS Excel skills.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or ERP systems is an advantage.
• Experience with major industrial clients/projects such as Aramco, Ma'aden, Royal Commission, or similar will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, reporting, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
