Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Contract: 3–6 Months

About the Role:

We are seeking an Integration Engineer to support healthcare system integrations across multiple hospital projects in Saudi Arabia.

This role will focus on connecting EMR/EHR platforms, HIEs, and other healthcare systems, ensuring data flows reliably across clinical and operational environments. The Integration Engineer will work closely with hospital staff, IT teams, and RST’s technical teams to support integrations, troubleshoot issues, and assist with go-lives and implementation activities.

This is an initial 3–6 month contract with the possibility of extension based on project needs.

What You’ll Do

• Build, configure, and support integrations between EMR/EHR systems, HIEs, and third-party healthcare platforms.
• Develop and support healthcare interoperability solutions using HL7 and FHIR standards.
• Configure and work with integration engines such as Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, or similar platforms.
• Troubleshoot integration issues across healthcare systems and support timely resolution of production issues.
• Work directly with hospital IT teams, clinical staff, nurses, doctors, and lab teams to understand issues and translate operational needs into technical solutions.
• Support hospital implementations and go-live activities, including occasional on-site support when required.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to improve integration reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Maintain technical documentation related to interfaces, integrations, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

What You’ll Bring

• 3+ years of relevant experience in healthcare integration, system integration, interface development, or a related field.
• Prior experience working in or directly with hospitals, healthcare systems, or clinical environments.
• Hands-on experience with HL7 and FHIR.
• Experience with Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, or another healthcare integration engine.
• Experience integrating EMR/EHR systems, HIEs, or other healthcare applications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly in live healthcare environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical teams and hospital/clinical stakeholders.
• Fluent English and strong conversational Arabic required; fluency in Arabic is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work from the client/partner office in Riyadh and travel to hospital sites when required for go-lives, escalations, or technical issues.

Nice to Have

• Experience building or supporting REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Node.js, JavaScript, or similar backend technologies.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational databases.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Git and modern software-development workflows.
• Understanding of healthcare data security and privacy requirements.
• Previous experience supporting large-scale healthcare implementations or multi-hospital projects.
