Job summary

Redsand is seeking a Health, Safety and Environment Officer to implement and manage our HSE system on-site in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will ensure compliance with local regulations and ISO standards while promoting a strong safety culture across the workforce.

Role involves conducting inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, and training sessions, plus monitoring subcontractor HSE performance and maintaining documentation for ISO 45001/14001. On-site leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• Professional HSE certification (NEBOSH IGC or equivalent).
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.
• 5–7 years of HSE experience in construction.
• Strong grounding in risk assessment, incident investigation, and legal compliance.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Comfortable working under pressure in a site environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the HSE Management System at site level.
• Conduct daily site inspections and identify unsafe conditions or practices.
• Perform risk assessments and support the development of safe work procedures.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE awareness sessions.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, and prepare root cause analysis reports.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with HSE requirements.
• Maintain HSE documentation in line with ISO 45001, 14001, and local regulations.
• Support emergency preparedness planning and drills.
• Report on HSE performance to management.
