Job summary

Esnad Contracting seeks a Safety Officer for a major construction project in Jeddah. The role enforces health and safety standards, conducts site inspections, and leads toolbox talks to minimize risk. You will ensure compliance with PTW and actively participate in hazard identification and risk assessments.

The ideal candidate holds NEBOSH/IOSH/OSHA certification, demonstrates strong communication and teamwork, and has hands-on experience with site safety procedures on infrastructure sites.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH, IOSH or OSHA certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Safety Officer in construction or infrastructure.
• Good knowledge of occupational health and safety standards and regulations.
• Experience in site inspections, risk assessments and PTW system.
• Strong communication, reporting and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement health and safety requirements across the project site.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe conditions and practices.
• Monitor work activities to ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
• Follow up and close out safety observations and corrective actions.
• Participate in risk assessments and hazard identification activities.
• Ensure compliance with the Permit to Work (PTW) system.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions for the workforce.
• Promote a strong safety culture and support continuous improvement initiatives.
