Job summary

Whitecollars is seeking a senior Construction Manager to lead on a large Saudi Aramco onshore EPC program. You will own the construction execution plan from mobilization to mechanical completion and handover, directing daily site activities and coordinating with QA/QC, safety, and planning teams.

The role requires 10+ years in oil and gas/petrochemical construction, Middle East experience, and fluency in Arabic and English.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of solid experience as a Construction Manager in oil and gas/petrochemical projects.
• OMPP construction experience with Saudi Aramco.
• Middle East experience essential; Gulf experience advantageous.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• PMP/CCM/CPM training and licensed engineer status preferred.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Saudi national per Saudisation requirements.

About the Company:

Our client is an established Saudi Aramco onshore EPC contractor headquartered in the Eastern Province, with a long delivery record on the Onshore Maintain Potential Program (OMPP), cross-country pipelines, flowlines and well tie-in packages across the Northern and Southern Areas. The company self-performs civil, mechanical, pipeline and E&I construction with its own workforce and equipment fleet.

Key Responsiblites:

Site execution

• Own the construction execution plan for the package, from mobilisation through mechanical completion and pre-commissioning handover.
• Direct daily site activities across right-of-way preparation, stringing, bending, welding, NDT, coating, lowering, backfilling, hydrotest and tie-ins.
• Sequence well tie-ins, flowlines, trunklines, manifolds, scraper traps and valve stations against the CRPO scope and the Aramco shutdown windows.
• Plan and control manpower, construction equipment and subcontractor resources to hold the approved schedule.
• Run daily and weekly look-ahead planning with the planning team and close the gap between planned and actual progress.

Client and standards

• Act as the site interface with the Saudi Aramco PMT, inspection and operations representatives.
• Ensure all construction work complies with Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES), SAEP procedures and the Schedule Q quality requirements.
• Lead the preparation and closure of construction inspection packages, RFIs, technical queries and NCRs.
• Drive the mechanical completion dossier, punch-list closure and turnover to pre-commissioning.

Safety, quality and cost

• Hold the site to the client's HSE plan and the Aramco Construction Safety Manual, with zero tolerance on permit-to-work and excavation controls.
• Coordinate with QA/QC to keep welding, coating and hydrotest documentation current and audit-ready.
• Control site cost against budget, including productivity, equipment utilisation and subcontractor measurement.
• Identify scope changes early and support the Project Manager with change notices and claims substantiation.

People

• Lead superintendents, construction engineers, supervisors and foremen across all disciplines.
• Set performance expectations, coach the site team and manage discipline and rotation.
• Build a construction team that reflects the client's Saudisation commitments.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of solid experience as a Construction Manager in oil and gas / petrochemical projects, with cross-country pipeline delivery a must.
• Demonstrable OMPP (Onshore Maintain Potential Program) construction experience with Saudi Aramco.
• Middle East experience essential; Gulf experience a strong advantage.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Civil / Electrical considered).
• PMP / CCM / CPM training and licensed engineer status preferred.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Dynamic leader, strong communicator, and able to motivate multicultural field teams.
